Meet Susan Jackson
Along my personal health and wellness journey, I discovered the power of fitness in maintaining a healthy LIFESTYLE. As someone navigating life with a mental health disorder, I can honestly say that fitness has saved my life. From my first workouts done in my bed to 5 years later being a triple-certified fitness trainer, I am living proof that you can start at ANY LEVEL and still achieve a healthy lifestyle. Fitness empowered me to make self-care (mind, body, and spirit) a daily priority.
A dual citizen of Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, I try to incorporate my culture in my fitness training, philanthropy, and mental health advocacy. It is important for people to know that anxiety and depression can appear in many forms. As much as will dance on any "bamsie" and be the life of the party, I still struggle with low self-value and occasional self-harm at my lowest.
As a Mental Health Warrior and Body Positive Fitness Instructor, I am committed to using my voice to start conversations around Mental Health and play an active part in breaking down the stigma around Mental Health Illness.

Philanthropy Work
Community and charity are extremely important to me as a person who tries to live a life of gratitude. I have run several charity workouts and fundraisers supporting so many causes, under my previous ventures QueB Events and Island Sweat Fitness Inc.
I will continue to do this under the "Becoming Susan Inc" through collaboration. No donation is every too small.
